Marantz 8100DC Signal Meter

I purchased a Marantz 8100DC in very good shape. Can anyone confirm if the signal meter (lights up) works for the FM frequency? The signal meter (lights up) works for the AM frequency no problem.

Been a while since I had one. I assume you mean SR-8100dc?

If so, yes they do work with FM.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought. Is there any button that would prevent/allow the signal meter to work? I don't have manual sure what all the controls do.

Are you receiving signals in stereo?

Do you have a decent FM antenna connected?

Hi Rob,
I connected a different antenna and the signal meter worked! I thought the previous antenna was good enough to pull in the stations, but I was wrong. Thank you for your help.
BTW I'm really enjoying the sound this receiver is putting out through my PSB speakers. A little warmer than my Luxman R-115.

I see your a Sansui enthusiast. Those receivers have peaked my curiosity. Is there an entry level Sansui that won't break the bank and has the Sansui "sound". I don't need all the bells and whistles.
