Marantz Electrostatic Headphones

Does anyone out there have an opinion and/or experience with these vintage Marantz phones? I just bought some (in the original box with the plastic wrap intact and manuals!). I have heard very little about these and would love to hear what everyone thinks. Thanks!

Were therse on eBay? Looked interesting.

Koss made some, required you to hook 'em up to the speaker outputs via a box.

I've been told they are quite amazing.

I got them from craigslist. I haven't seen any on ebay. Did you catch how much they went for? I'll let you know how they sound when I get 'em hooked up. And thanks for the welcome. Been reading a long time, finally got around to joining.

I've seen a few of the Koss go for as low as $30 and as much as $99 or maybe a bit over.

The Marantz my guess would go for the same.
