Marantz HT Receiver Ohm Question

I have a OHM question. I have a Marantz SR-7500 Home Theater receiver that is rated for speakers no lower than 6 ohms. My problem is that I have a 4 ohm center channel speaker, while the rest of my speakers are 8 ohm. Do you think this is a big deal? Or, do you think the receiver should be okay?

Thanks!

I believe that your outputs are discrete , in that each channel has a separate circuit .
If Marantz states no lower then 6 ohms I not use the 4 ohm . Remember that the lower the ohms the closer to a direct shot , better to be higher then lower .

Just my $00.02 anyway .......

Thanks, Barney. You're probably right, it's just I really like my center channel. It's an older Counterpoint Bijou that sounds awesome. Oh well....

you could add a 2 ohm 10 watt resistor in series with the speaker if you are worried, but i would just use the speaker as is.
