Jump on them for that price. They are an incredible speaker. I loved mine (Lavane above has the pair I had, we did a trade for some other stuff). They have just a bit less bass than the Imperial 6s but that is still a LOT.

I agree. I found them to sound very similar to the Imperial 6. The bass isn't quite as deep as the 6's, but the 5's still sound good. Just turn the bass knob up a bit. The 5's roll off at 50hz, but that isn't bad really. There isn't much of anything under 40hz anyway unless you listen to pipe organ music.

I used to think that until I got speakers that we flat down to 25hz. I listen to a huge variety of music and some of it is electronic with synths that dig deep and sound fantastic on speakers that do 25hz.

My mains right now are a pair of Polk Monitor 10's I restored. They dig down into the high 20's. I don't use my sub with them.
I played the latest remastered version if DSOTM yesterday. I noticed a lot more in the lower frequencies than I noticed before with some of my other speakers. The heart beat was much more detailed and dug lower than I ever noticed before. At one point I thought the midbass drivers were pumping, but they weren't. Most of the speakers I've had in the past rolled off in the 30hz to 50hz range.
