Can someone give me the inner demensions H x W of these speakers where the speakers grills would lay? Appreciate it. Have some old FOAM Marantz grills and want so see if these are the correct ones. I purchased them in another city and haven't picked them up. Tanks!

If you've found intact Marantz "G" series grilles, they're likely from the 7s. Every single surviving one of those I've seen has been on a 7. If it turns out instead that they fit the 8s, but some miracle, please send me a PM.

I need to clarify. I have the grills but not the Imperial 7s - yet. And, by your dimensions you supplied, I have the correct grills. Cool - will be very vintage. Thanks for the measurements.
I have no idea why the "G" series Imperial 7 grilles survive. 6, 8 and 9 "G" grilles turn to dust. I couldn't even pick up the remaining pieces of my 8 grilles that had fallen into the ports - the material was so disintegrated that touching the lumps turned them into nothing.
That is really odd.
Ordered some speakers grilles that look A LOT like the old marantz foam ones. He can custom build some for your 8's.

My "7" grilles didn't fare too well, even though the speakers were taken care of, and still are. I replaced the rotting foam several years back with cloth and love the improvement. The new drivers are even better, lol.....
