Had them in the past, really too much for these. Even in super condition, the foams around the woofers and midranges will be rotted away...guaranteed. The foam grilles are rotted away. Unless you are absolutely enthralled with these, you will most likely be disappointed......

$250-$300 for all is about right IMO

Some sellers have no clue. Like he is doing someone a serious favor. If he is not motivated enough to get them ready for sale, then let him keep them. Refoam 10 years ago, probablky will need a new refoam and by this time the caps are ready for a redo.

he's "considering all offers of over $1000" ??? what the heck is with the dude? I think he's expecting a miracle at this point. Now if they were still intact and everything including foam grills, then maybe, just maybe, but the way he's describing them, all four are barely worth half his asking price, IMO.

For some reason I've noticed some good stuff out around the Spokane area and it has always been WAY too high. Stuff must be really rare out there and they think its worth a fortune. I see the same problem with stuff out in ND too. At one time that may have been the case but with the auction site and internet, those days are long long gone.

I agree - his price is way too high for those. If he had four Imperial 9s in mint condition, then yes, I'd say go see them. But 8s? In questionable shape? Pass!
