Marantz Lamp Housings-Interchangeability

Hello,
I own a Marantz 2235B and a 2325.

I may be needing new lamp housings because of the dreaded melting.

Does anyone know what all other models of lamp housings will fit the 2235B and the 2325?

Someone has a lamp housing for a 2230, but I'm not sure (and they don't know) if it will fit my 2235B or not.

Also, I know some Marantz models like the 2245 came with metal lamp housings that last forever and would like to know if those can take the place of my 2235B.

Help is appreciated.

Other than the metal ones used in the 2230, 2245 and 2270, to my knowledge, there are only two sizes of lamp housings used in black dialed 22XX model receivers.
Small Lamp Housings should fit:
2220B, 2225, 2226, 2230B, 2235B, 2238, 2240, 2240B, 2250, 2250B, 2252, 2265, 2275, 2285, 4230, 4240, 4270
and other black dialed 22XX Marantz models with 5 dial lamps.

Large lamp housings should fit:
2325, 4300, 4400 and other black dialed 22XX Marantz models with 6 dial lamps.

Thanks for that information.

One big question that interests me is that if any of the metal ones used in the 2230, 2245, or 2270 would fit and replace the plastic ones in either the small or large units?

Wish Marantz would have never used those plastic housings....:screwy:

I don't think the metal ones can be used in place of the plastic ones, they are very different.

I have a 4400 on the bench that needed a housing. I couldn’t find one or a 3D file so we made one out of crumbs. Most of it was laying in the bottom of the chassis. This was the second revision and it fits like a glove but I’m going to make a small mod to the keeper tabs that secure the bottom in.
Plus it needs to be white. I was surprised it fit so well.
