As i posted in another thread i ordered from ebay dot ca from Audiodogs Dot CA a pair of new foam surrounds for the woofers of these speakers. Although there listing only reveres to the Marantz LS16 and not the 16A (which I got) I measured and took the risk. I recieved them yesterday and although not listed as for Marantz LS-16A's but only for normal Marantz-16's, they are a perfect fit and are of perfect quality! Send to me in a White Pizza box with in black printed in the center; 12" Pizza (Im Not Joking).
Maybe this can be some help for somebody.
Note: I dont work for Audiodogs, neither did i get the foams for free etc etc. Shipping was very fast with tracking and was including total including shipping and glue (i payed via my paypall) $45.49 CAD including sales taxes.

Awesome! The surrounds look perfect. Unlike many I have gotten (different U.S. sellers) that must have been at the bottom of a stack and all squished out of shape :wtf: and completely unusable.

O I wouldnt know about that. I buy a lot vintage Hi-Fi and hifi related, from "The States" on ebay etc. On pics the surrounds on ebay dot com from seller " Springfield Speaker ", based and thus selling / shiping in / from the USA look good / perfect to me. But i'm in BC, like Audiodogs, and next day delivery is offcoure preferable ! So I bought them from Audiodogs! Thats all thats to it!

Oh believe me, I have bought from every U.S. seller from coast to coast. If they send me crap, they get it back. SS is pretty good along with MW when it comes to replacing stuff they send out to the point they hand-pick each item instead of just grabbing off the stack. I don't mess around when it comes to repairing/rebuilding someone's speakers. They get done right and geometrically straight. I recently got some diaphragms that were off center. After 2 crooked replacements, the owner stepped in and hand selected perfectly centered ones. The 3rd time was the charm I guess. :rflmao:

Rhe bad foam surround experience I got was when back I the days when I still lived in Amsterdam the Netherlands. I had to reform my own Philips FB-825 tower speakers course all the woofers (2x loudspeaker) and midrange drivers had completed rotted away surrounds. I bought foam surrounds online from and made in the UK, specially made for these speakers. Well the very thin surrounds melted literally in you hands, deformed completely, and that with the glue that came with the surrounds. (Nope I didn't use any aggressive detergent , alcohol or spiritus etc etc on the surrounds or driver chassis). There are fraudulous clowns and other folks who say there experts, but don't know what there selling, doing / manufacturing. I've had those experiences also Countries I will never order anything again from are the UK, Spain Itally, Asia, Middleast Africa and even from somecountriesin the mid and south Americas or from russian federation Eurasia and southern Europe or Eurasia. But for me the USA is not one of those countries. In general I have good experiences when purchasing from the USA . But yes, I have been cumned / ripped off tricked, fooled also occasionally, when buying something from the USA. But also from purchases from here in Canada, BC included I have had several bad experiences ! That's just the problem with online purchases. And till now eBay CANADA or USA has worked online at least the best for me. And paypall thus also. Insured, good tracking , global shipping program ( this no extra to be payed afterwards import taxes / broker fees to BC etc etc Good return policy (Although till now I haven't had to return anything back to a seller on eBay USA or Canada .) I've had two damaged items from shipping though one time from Ebay Canada one from USA due to insufficient packing. A little discount from the seller solved it for me. Although a potty especially when it concern an audio component! That has been the main issue for me, and some idiots on eBay USA, Canada and UK, who after you have purchased AND payed the item, they send you a message that before shipping out to you they want more money with some 100% BS excuse. That I never granted them. Asked seller to dissolve our contract, if not I filed a complained and always got my money back. Always. Happened 4 times to me!
