Marantz Model 112 with various faceplate

Hi. I am looking for a Marantz Model 112 tuner. In my search, I have discovered that the 112 model exist with two different faceplates. On one of them it says (in the lower left corner):
Dolby FM


on the other it says:
Dolby
FM-25μS


Does anyone know why? Is there a difference between the two kinds?

the lower one is showing the amount of de-emphasis. 25us is standard for decoding Dolby FM through the tape loop.
One or the other is just an earlier version I guess. Just adding the de-emphasis amount one one or the other. Both are most likely the same.
I have a 112 tuner without the 25us printed on it. On the back, you will find a single RCA jack for quadradial output. It's a nice little tuner. Originally I fot.it to go with my 1060 integrated amp I use as a preamp for a 140 power amp.
But I use it in my main system now.

Thanks. Could it be that it’s because one of them is an American model and the other is a European model? (If so, which one is the European model?)

If thats true my guess would be the one with the 25us is European, or Canadian. I've run across several 112's and they didn't have the 25us printed on them. The asiest way to tell is the European versions may have a voltage selector on the back, or screw terminals inside to change it.
I saw a Canadian 105 tuner that had 105 BS printed on it. Instead of having AM, it had a shortwave band instead. It was probably ly sold in Europe as well.
