Marantz Model 2226B Channel Drop Out

I have a Marantz Model 2226B and sometimes the left speaker will drop out, it can happen completely randomly but seems to happen more often when Im listening at lower volumes. It also seems to happen almost exclusively on aux input and photo, sometimes radio but I can normally get the channel back by just bumping the selector pots to AM and then going back I also get left speaker working if I turn on mono obviously its compositing the signal but the system drives the speaker. I inherited the system and Ive only done small jobs like replacing the lights and string inside havent messed with much else besides canned air cleaning. Thank you.

Clean the selector switch with Deoxit or a good contact cleaner. While you are at it, clean the tape monitor switch and speaker selector switches.

If you have Deoxit, clean the potentiometers as well. But my money is on the selector switch.

So use the deoxit to clean then apply a lubricant?
No... Use FaderLube on pots...

Or Nu-Trol (which I now use) on pots...

Ok thanks so much for taking the time to answer questions on it. There is a lot of different opinions about what to use or not I appreciate the advice. Trying to keep it in the best condition I can :)

Use just a quick spritz, don't flood it.
