Marantz Power Supply Voltage

Hi, I'm reconditioning a Marantz 2285, and my instructions state after the power supply board is done and tested, to use the manual to set the power supply voltage. It says it should be plugged in to the wall (not the tester) when the voltage is set. The only thing I'm finding in the manual is to set it to 110v, 120v, 220v etc., and it states to not have it plugged in, so I'm thinking there's something else?

set it to 110v, 120v, 220v

Set this to your mains voltage with the receiver unplugged.
Then in the service manual under --- 5. Audio Adjustments.
step 1 is DC power supply adjustment.
