Marantz Scope tube?

There's one available on that auction site right (sorry can't post the link due to forum rules) that says it's for the 2210, 2130, 2500, 2600, etc. I'm always on the lookout for one of these in case I ever need one for my 2130. Seller doesn't know what unit it was pulled from, and there is no serial number listed.

So here's my question. In the photos on the auction, the trace appears green. That reminds me of the scope color in a 150 for example, or a 20b, whereas the scope color in the newer units is blue. Am I just being picky about the photo color rendering or am I correct on this? I haven't seen a tube in person I don't know.

Thoughts welcome.

Hi,

as far as I know, the scope which you see as green, is green shining. (the phosphor) :scratch2:

The blue scopes are shining white (the phosphor) but have a blue foil in front of them to achieve the blue look.
At least at the 4400s. Early versions have a green scope, later versions have a white shining scope with blue foil in front.

Not sure for the others.

I had a fellow AK members Marantz 2130 in for repair. A later production run than my 2130. The scope display was blue where as mine is green. It could be the phosphor or the color plastic used for the scope grid.
