I was gifted a rough pair of Marantz SP124 speakers. I believe they’re from the late 80’s or early 90’s. They have a 12” woofer and a 12” passive radiator with liquid cooled mid and tweeter. The woofers and PR’s need to be refoamed. I have never refoamed a speaker and took these as a personal project just to replace the surrounds.
I am not familiar with the speakers and am curious if you guys think they are worth restoring? I don’t mind putting A little money into them for the experience, but would like to know if my efforts should be spent on something else. Your thoughts are appreciated, Thanks.
