i purchased one and it was pretty dirty. Took a lot of cleaning but it would still distort. I thought I had wasted my money.

A few weeks later, i am bored so I pull it out again. Another round of deoxit and I noticed something - the mode selector actuates a cable with the actual switch 4" back from the front panel. I sprayed it and the noise was gone.

This is a pretty nice sounding unit with reasonable power. The phono section is pretty good as well. The light bulb is hard to get at and replace and I never did find the 2nd bulb which is supposed to be located near the power led lights.

Nice receivers and totally ignored by the marantz 22xx crowd, too bad cause they are pretty decent rigs.

Common remote switch used in yamaha gear. I have the sr1130, same shiz, different tuning knob.
