Marantz SR 7000 recapping - 2 large caps questen

Hey guys,

Hopefully someone with electronics experience can weigh in.

I am a student with an audio hobby, I managed to get some secondhand audio stuff (Mission MX4's, Magnat sub and Marantz SR 7000). I don't have any education relevant for board level repair so I'm basically free winging it with basic soldering skills.

Since the receiver is 20 years old and is still rocking its original capacitors I am currently replacing a number of them. All the small ones are going fine (2200 uf and smaller), I have the service manual and the local expert shop is supplying Panasonic caps. I already did all the separate channel caps (skipped center channel because I will never ever use it) and the improvement in the high end especially is astonishing.

I am currently recapping it's main large board which contain two large capacitors (15.000 uf 63v).
Here's the issue, the current caps say audio grade from nippon chemi-con and are soldered to the board with 4 pins. 2 of those are "Blank" pins (says so printed on the caps themselves) and one pin is 63 volt and the other is simply "negative". The pins are also arranged in a specific configuration with a distance of 22,5 mm between them.
I checked chemi-cons' website and filtered for replacement caps and they simply don't list the one I am looking for anywhere.

I used the filter on mouser.com and can't really find anything (85 c, 15000 uf, 63 v, 4 pins, 22.5 mm distance between pins, 35 mm diameter) apart from this one but upon checking the spec sheet you will see the capacitor is actually 40mm in diameter instead of 35 mm and that simply won't fit, there are connectors in the way and the caps are next to each other.

Does anyone know where I might find the appropriate capacitors or does anyone have an appropriate fix?

Else I will have to MacGyver something which will be difficult and I might break the whole thing.

All you really need to do is to find capacitors with two prongs. one is positive and the other is negative. the extra prongs are just for super tight holding them in place. No need for exact replacements.

This sounds sensible although the 2 pronged ones are usually 10 mm apart and don't have the long leads like the small ones do. Do adapters exist?
 
Excellent AK-team reference; this cap would appear to be similar and an acceptable replacement. Unfortunately Digikey says 0 in stock and not accepting backorders due to constrained supply. Sign of the times, I guess. But now you have a specific manufacturer and specs if you want to search elsewhere and maybe get lucky.

It also isn't one of the japanese brands.

Weather to use audio grade or not for the power supply is for an entirely different thread.
I like to use reliable filter caps with high ripple and low esr from brands like Kemet or cornell dublier over audio grade because audio grade is usually rated for half the lifespan at double the price.

Also I have noticed a lot of new filter caps have very short leads and would not be bendable to make up for a 12mm difference, if you get 2 prong you might have to drill holes in the pcb and scrape away at the silkscreen or jumper the leads to the original solder points and hold the cap down with glue.

I'm from the Netherlands and they have a few in stock at nl.mouser.com so I'll be fine.

In the meantime I put it all back together and holy ****, it sounds so amazing. It still works and I'm listening to songs and noticing details I never knew were there.
