Today after work I'm going to pick up a marantz sr1000 reciever.
I really don't know anything about vintage equipment so I had a few questions.
First I looked up the specs on it and I got 2 different power ratings one said 25 wpc and the other said 32 wpc .Now how is this compared to the ratings of a newer reciever that puts out say 50 or 60 wpc? What if my speakers say minimum of 40 was recommended? Did they use a different rating system back then? Were they accurate @ 25 or 32 wpc or could this put out more power than it says?
