Hi Forum gurus: First time poster here...
Receiver: Marantz SR4001
Issue: Was working fine till it just died on me. I love this receiver and need help to revive if possible.
Description: Loud clicking sound when plugging in or unplugging. Nothing else. No flashing standby light. Front panel does NOT light up. No output.
I have done the following:
1. Tried to reset by following instructions in the manual + several suggestions on various online forums which include pressing various button combos
2. Plugged in a low power light in both 'switched' and 'unswitched' outlets on the back panel. Bulb lights up on both outlets. Pushing the POWER button does nothing.
3. Removed the cover and did a visual check on burnt capacitors. Cannot see anything abnormal there.
4. Tried to locate fuses but have not been able to do so.
