Hi,
new to the board and I hope I can get some help here..
I recently started restoring my Marantz 4300 receiver which has a single voltage transformer (120v 50/60hz). I'd like to replace it with a multivoltage transformer to be able to use it without a step-down converter here in Europe. Since I couldn't find a proper 4300 multi-voltage transformer I was wondering if I could use a 4270 transformer? Interestingly both, the 4300 and 4270, according to the service manual have the same power consumption (400w)? Even if this is not correct (label on the back says 650w for the 4300 and 400w for the 4270) I don't plan on running the receiver at full power anyways.
Are the connections/output voltages the same for both transformers?
Maybe somebody has more knowledge on these old transformers than I..
Thanks!
