I wanted to give you guys an update on Marc and figured this would be the best place to do it.
I live in the Columbus area and stumbled upon Marc through AK. Marc has spent countless hours with me educating me, guiding me and helping me rebuild\tweak three AR tables for me and my two sons.
Marc has been fighting lymphoma for about 20 years. The disease has been in check for many years although he continued treatment. Recently through a series of events and tests he was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. He went through more than 30 radiation treatments and then began chemo. He has had a brutal time with the chemo, the side effects and then subsequent medications to address his reactions and side effects. Brutal is probably an understatement.
You have probably seen some of his recent BT listings to sell some of his gear due to mounting medical bills. Now you know why.
I went by to see him yesterday. He will have another round of chemo next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. He expects to be in the hospital after that due to the extreme impacts on his system. He was in good spirits, and “typical Marc” but I know he is not looking forward to next week.
I asked him for permission to let you know about his current situation. I am glossing over a lot of the detail he shared with me.
I encourage you to reach out if you know him. If you want to assist him in other ways, ping him or you can reach out to me and we can figure something. Keep him in your prayers and thoughts. I can post updates when appropriate.
