Marc Morin - Rest In Peace Our Friend

As life's challenges weigh most heavily, it is so important to find comfort and peace in cherished memories. For most of us, the simple act of playing a record can effectively transport us to another time and place. I think this is why I love my Morinified AR XA so much.

I am so fortunate, and so grateful that Marc Morin's handy work is at the very heart of my beloved memory machine.

A few years ago, when I sent my AR off to Marc for him to work his magic, I was tempted to ask him to sign and date the inside of the plinth before returning it, but I felt like that would be too corny, so I never asked.

In light of what's going on, I've reconsidered. A Marc Morin AR will be increasingly become considered a legendary classic by discerning audiophiles for years to come.

I recently received a package from Marc, and I careful sliced his handwritten name and address off the mailing label, and taped it to the inside of my AR's plinth.

and darn it all Don Crawford had asked that of us as we were finishing his table recently. We all agreed we would and then as we kept on going just flat forgot to until after it was on its way!

that is correct I am now paralyzed from the waist down and have to be carried to get anywhere, including this computer.
i'll be assisting Stuart and Hose' best i can, but anymore work than already here. i can't help with other work, just advice

I have been a fan of your work and advice since joining AK years ago.

It’s a dream of mine to own an AR that has been blessed with your magic.

I have also followed your travails on this thread.

You are a first class individual and an inspiration to countless fans and well wishers.

My thoughts are with you.

so sorry about your mobility. that must be depressing.
i hope doing some turntable work will lift your spirits

hospice can get you a lift like this (called a hoyer lift):

takes a little getting used to and best to have 2 people to assist you with it (though 1 person can do it).
we used one of these with my wife and it worked well.

That's tough news, Marc.
I actually have a Hoyer Lift in the garage, and can get it to you in an hour if you'd like to have it available. Just let me know.

Very sad to hear this news Marc. There will be some extra prayers and positive vibes sent your way tonight.

You have blessed so many people with your knowledge and talents over the years and I am praying there is a Marc Morin in the medical world that can bless YOU with the same amount of knowledge and talent.
