Martin Logan & McIntosh question. I'm looking at getting a set of ML Aerius i (as long as the panels are good). I'm wanting to drive them with a pair of McIntosh MC240's. Would this be sufficient or too much of a load on the amps? I'm not worried about the power aspect as much as I am the impedance as I've read these can drop below 2 ohms.

I can't speak directly to your question but for several years I powered somewhat similar Martin Logan hybrid stats, the Vistas, to my complete satisfaction with a Jolida EL34 tube integrated amplifier.

After a second attempt to check them out tonight (car trouble cut the hour trip short last night) I passed on them. Both panels were bad. Guy still wanted a ton for them (he was borderline too high as it was). Good luck to him.
