Martin super Max 3 (can't find anything on them)

Anyone ever hear of these? I saw them at a thrift store took them home and all the speakers work. The paper woofer on a tweeter is torn but doesn't affect sound from what I hear. Heavy speakers look like they're real wood. Probably partical board. They have a red thumb tack on the back of each one along with a knob. Anyone ever heard about these?

...paper woofer on a tweeter....
Say what?

There seems to be very little info on Martin speakers, but I, too, have been curious about them. Attached pic shows model 440. I've never heard 'em or even seen 'em, but they appear impressive .... or at least curious.

Yea they sound amazing I have it hooked it to my pioneer sx 990. Bass is pretty good too. Good build quality as well. I would like to know their worth. I'm not going to sell them but if they're expensive I'd like to brag:p but even expensive speakers don't always sound good.
