Master and Dynamic MH40/headphone care and storage

Hey all,

just got the master and dynamic MH40, my first ever nice pair of headphones. I love them! They came with a sort of felt bag for storage.

I put the headphones in the bag and was placing them on a shelf when I slipped and they flew out of my hand And landed on the shelf. They only when about two or three inches but it scared the hell out of me. They still sound fine to my ears. One but of aluminum on the cups got a tiny scuff but that’s ok.

Is headphone damage the kind of thing where it’s obvious or could I have caused some subtle degradation of sound quality?

What do you all recommend for headphone storage when yours don’t come with a carrying case that offers a lot of protection?

My Headphone Rig is located in a spare room/home office that has a closet in it. I store my headphones in one of those hanging closet cloth storage units. Room for five HP's & cables .. I store one per slot.

Five slots in mine ... all filled. Will have to order another unit for more HP storage.
