Mat For MT2 Turntable

Hello,
Has anyone changed the mat on their MT2 turntable? In the winter the stock felt mat can sometimes come up when removing a record and that can get to be annoying.

With other turntables I have had good results using a Herbie’s Way Excellent mat . Has anyone tried one of those? If so, which model and thickness did you get?

I’m also open to any other suggestions—including just living with it the way McIntosh designed it.
