Maxell CD-rs not reading in player

I have an Onkyo 6 disc changer. Just a couple years old. I'm using a current spindle of Maxell cd-rs to make mp3 discs. I notice just about every disc will read fine on the pc but the player just spins a bit then goes to the next disc. All my previous brand,Memorex,work in all the slots with no problem. Has anyone ever had any issues like this?
