Maxell Communicator Series Production Years

Hi,

I have a ton of boxes of these Maxell Communicator Series tapes (C90s and Instant Start C60s) but I can't quite pinpoint when they were made. I know the Communicator Series has been around since the '80s, but there have been at least a couple iterations over the years (some have black shells, some are clear) and am wondering when the ones I have were made. I have the clear shell ones, they look like this:

Any ideas when these ones were in production?
