They make some wonderful car audio speakers, thats where I first learned of MB Quart. baggedlancer has a pair of MB's, but not the same model as these, and they sound fantastic, and seemed to be very well made.

MB Quart is a German company, if I recall correctly. A quick google returned a few ebray germany listings for this model....

I've never owned a complete MB Quart speaker.....but I've used their individual drivers.....in various systems.
VERY good build quality and sound IMO.

I would totally get those for $100... I don't need any more speakers either.

One of the best car stereos I have ever heard had MB Quart speakers.
 
Ran a pair of MB Quart 30 mm mid-tweeters in my old KLH-3s for many years with a JVC ribbon supertweeter. Totally sweet, plump, juicy combo.

For $100 I'd jump all over those. Especially with the Variovent looking thing. My guess is they're dry but musical.

I highly reccommend that you do and pick up those MB Quarts. They are my favorite speaker manufacturer and have a huge collection of them in both home and car applications.

Let me know what happens. I will make a guarantee that if you don't like them, I will pay you what you get them for and also shipping costs to me. I Don't have a pair of the 790MCS's yet and would love to add them to my collection.

I called this guy this morning & left a message I was interested in buying his speaks! I also told him I belonged to AK, so maybe he will see that I am an OK guy. :yes: :D

I know CL frowns on out of state deals being done, but I thought I would give it a shot!! Sometimes you have not because you ask not.

Well, if he calls me back, I will let you know what he said.
Hopefully I will be getting some nice looking & hopefully even better sounding MB Quart speaks. :thmbsp:

My Rogers LS7t Speakers

have MB Quart titanium tweeters - maybe the best tweeters I have ever heard (next to the EMITs in my Infinities). Extremely detailed without being harsh - not easy to do.

Plenty of CL listers have changed their minds and upped the price. But I think this guy knows what they are really worth and is willing to take $100.
