MC 2500 Right Channel hum

Hi, I have been reading all the posts about sources of hum. Using these suggestions, I was able to greatly reduce the hum in my system. Specifically, I was able to eliminate the hum completely in the left channel. The right channel still has a small hum in it and it changes SIGNIFICANTLY when i touch the right channel gain knob on the amp. When I touch the knob, the hum gets about ten times louder. Does this mean I have some capacitors going south??

Sounds like a ground wire to the gain control is broken, also check the stereo mono switch for a broken wire and clean it.
 
Terry, Thanks much for the suggestions. When I had the unit open to replace the Light Dependent Resistors and the opamps that fixed my Power Guard problem, I noticed that the connections to the switches seemed delicate and brittle. I probably broke the ground then.
