A MC 225 is a special little amp, 34 watts per channel as I remember from spending days at Mac clinics and installing a few. At low power levels there is just a special difference between a 225 and everything else. Just like a MC 3500 at lower power levels. They are just like different bourbons or single malt scotches. They can all be enjoyed. Some are smoother, some have in fact all have a different shading , finish, aroma, and after glow. As for Klipsch speakers give me a MC 7100, but if I had to choose tubes. I have to agree I'll take a MC 225 first and a pair or three MC 75's for a set of Kornerhorns with a Belle preferably or Cornwall in the center if using tubes. A 3500 just starts to get in its stride with a pair of concert grands, and only heard them once drive a pair of ML-4's. Move over 2300.
