This MC2125 has been completely replaced with LED's. It requires 4 6.3VAC bayonnet LED's, 6 6.3VAC fuse LED's, 3 6VAC LED bipin LED's, and 4 12VAC bipin LED's. It also requires 4 resistor modification to make the bipin LED's work properly. Cheers!

When you replaced the fuse lamps behind the meters did you have trouble opening the white covers? Even with TLC, I broke the locking mechanism on both meters on mine. I needed to make Velcro replacements. I have a complete LED lamp set from a fellow in Colorado.

It's really easy to damage the white cover since the pcb is force fitted in its place and if you pry the pcb out slowly, it can be done. I would remove the 2 vertical boards behinid the meter before prying out the meter pcb. I used the Northridge Electronics bipin LEDS and fuse lamp LED's sold on ebay and the new socket type LED's being developed by them.

Looks great! Wanna do mine? lol

If you live in Southern California, I'd be more than happy to help you out! If not, you can purchase all the LED's at Northridge Electronics Ebay Store except the socket LED's which will be available in approximately 45 days.

Will need eight socket (bayonet) type LEDs for the 2205 meters and probably some for the lower chassis. It'll be good to cool down the entire meter compartment of the amplifier with these. However I can no longer (or will no longer) be able to work z'bay so you will need to take a phone or email order. Hope there's no issue there.

The bayonet lamps would need to lock into place (in the sockets) and the LED at a 90° angle would need to be positioned (or aimed) straight forward. Is this taken into account in the design? Yes the lamp housing has 'some' rotational adjustability. How are the LEDs arranged WRT to bayonet pins? and the sockets? What is the mechanical alignment procedure?

These bayonnet lamps have been newly designed at Northridge Electronics. Will provide detail when it's put in market.

I went to all leds with my MR-71 tune a couple of years ago. The dial is brighter and the stereo light has optimum intensity. No modification was required for this and like you, I am very happy with the results. If I remember correctly, to total cost was less that $ 20.00. :D

Gregory:
The seller of the 1847 LEDs is deh12110@yahoo.com. I bought them in April of 2010 so I don't know if he stills sells them.

There's a discussion from 2009 here: http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?p=3143035 that goes into several different lamp kits, with lamps mounted on strips, etc. I reported a flickering lamp in the RIGHT meter the other day (one of the four bulbs is loose/ohmic.) That means the bayonet sockets need to be deoxed. Maybe they (the sockets) should be elliminated all together?

@hadrian333 Looong time ago but what resistor changes did you make?
