Mc2155 Output Driver Help

ok, so I`ve done a little research and please correct me if I have anything wrong

Q409---- 132-143 is an MPSA05(6)

Q410----132-150 is an MPSA55(6)


Q407----132-194 is an 2SA1360

Q414---- I cannot find a reference---the numbers on mine are 185/196/213
132-213 comes up as a completely different style of transistor the other two numbers don`t come up at all

Yeah, I'm not sure how you are coming up with the subs there, it doesnt correspond to the information I have, perhaps when Patrice comes back on line he will have some answers for you.....
However the MPSA55 and 05 sound like they are the current limiter (sentry) transistors....

I was too tired yesterday night and I send you the informations for MC2255 ! not MC2155 ! there are really closer but I prefer to send you today the perfect information (sorry) !

As you can see the transistors location numbers are the same !

so :

Q408= 132172 (PNP MPS-A55)
Q409= 132143 (NPN MPS-D05)
Q410= 132172 (PNP MPS-A55)
Q411= 132143 (NPN MPS-D05)

C415= 064186 (MPE, 0,1µF 5% 63V)
R428= 141035 (CF , 270 ohm 5% 1/4W)

Q414= 132196 (NPN , NSD-U07)
Q407= 132194 (PNP , NSD-U57)

After replacement of power transistors 2x 132208 (NPN) and 2 x 132209 (PNP). Positive driver TO3 (in heatsink is 132203 = NPN MJ4247) Negative driver is 132204 = PNP MJ4237 ) and also bias transistor 132090 = NPN Darlington selected MPS-A14 .

don't forget to check the fuse resistor in the heatsink :

R442= Fire proof 22 ohm 10% 1/2W !

132209 = MJ15004

where might I find this one?

is this the one the fuse is wired direct to? at the top of the heat sink?

this is the one on the top of heatsink if you wach your MC2155 up-side down

Can't you buy it from the factory with the part number ?

the 132-208's are toast, a likely cause for the damage on the driver board?

In my point of view something happen to the driver board (I don't know what and how) and then damage your output power transistors :tears:

" the 132-208's are toast" you said , I expect it since yesterday when I saw the drastic damage on transistors of your driver board ...

well, not a great day, electronics store not much help

store #1 had 2 of the transistors(132-208/132/209--nte 60/61

headed to store #2, much bigger volume and they only had the small transistors on the 045863(132-143/MPS AO6 and 132-150/MPS A56

I picked those up and likely head back to store #1 for what they had

oddly, the NSD U07 would not cross reference in the NTE interchange, not listed

neither store had the 132 208/ MJ15003/NTE 60 or the 132 209/MJ15004/NTE61

it was 10000 degreees in the store taj mahal elecronics, my cellphone signal was next to 0, I gave up after 30 minutes of running from the front of the store to the back trying to research some alternatives

Mouser or On-semi will have all you need, just order online and it will come to you....:thmbsp:

As a matter of due diligence, I retested the 132-208 132-208 power transistors located on the heatsink of the affected channel and they indeed are NFG, open, out for the count, all four of them

any suspicions as to the cause?

age?
voltage issue?
overdrive?
