MC225 slight buzzing right channel

As long as the tube is a tight fit in the socket, dip the tube pin ends in a bottle cap with some lighter fluid and insert them into the socket and withdraw, repeat a couple times.
Pins should be straight before the process.

oh how interesting, would the lighter fluid work better than the DeOxit? Or is there a difference?

It's effective, inexpensive, and readily available.

I did the cleaning in each socket - and for a second I thought it had worked but then realized the right channel wasn’t coming in. However when it did come back in - the buzzing was still there. I suppose it’s off for a visit to the tech. Thanks everyone for taking the time to help me trouble shoot.

on a positive note other than the buzzing the amp still sound so beautiful - especially after the cleaning which unbelievably improved the sound a bit.

Hi Are you still hearing it? I could reduce it drastically by tightening the bolts on the inductor and the transformer underside. So just check it if you still hear it.

Be sure to update what the issue was when you know, please.
Hi Chris, had forgotten about this thread! Yes it seems to have been squared away. From what I recall, luckily the amp was still under warranty from Audioclassics and they went through it and fixed whatever was causing it. So although I’m not sure exactly what it was, they said they found something and took care of it.

Also apologies for not replying - didn’t see your reply until just now - but it seems to have been squared away. Although if it should return I’ll definitely tighten the bolts on the underside! Thank you for the advice!

Even 7591 tubes emit a bit of noise while they're glowing hot. So, don't worry too much about the little bit of noise from the unit if it's been restored by Audio Classics.
