MC2255 speaker on/off switch just spins

After my 8 year old got tired of listening to classical music at a moderate volume, he decided to turn off the speakers. Well, now the switch turns and the speakers are off. I know that these switches aren't made anymore but before I pull the amp out of its case and start taking it apart, are these switches rebuildable? Is there a reasonable replacement available (no thanks, Captain Fantastic).

TIA for any advice (aside from keeping my kid away from my amplifiers, which will definitely be a subject of discussion once he gets home from school today).

Time to hook up the back up amps: 2 MC30s. I guess it's a good time of year to run tubes.

I believe that when I talked to McIntosh parts about a month or so ago (ordering spare parts I'll probably never need), the speaker switch was available. The power switch is not (originally the same switch but the higher-current rating for the power switch is no longer available so they only sell one for speaker).

The other option would be to simply bypass the speaker switch, do you ever use it?

I'll call them! Thanks for the tip. I do use the switch when I'm listening to headphones, but given that it's not that often, I may do that while getting the current one (see what I did there!) repaired.

You are right on the money. They have the switch, it just cannot be used for the power switch.
