I still have one new one in my stash

It wouldn't be under Completed Sales, as the guy made 10 total. A search using the term "MC2300 front panel" will get you there.ps- where was that faceplate listed ?
I looked on eBay completed sales but didn't see it.

I for one would invest in a silver or black face plate for my MC2500, as the current silver one has seen better days.
damacman would know the answer to that one.I looked at the McIntosh history pages and did not see any all black faceplate 2300's. Were some actually produced, or were they all black/silver
A while ago @Don Bocadill bought a few new MC2500 faceplates it would seem. I think he purchased them from Audio Classics, but I could be wrong. Don?It wouldn't be under Completed Sales, as the guy made 10 total. A search using the term "MC2300 front panel" will get you there.

I'm pretty sure that they were only commercially available in two tone. The one that damacman referred to was likely a custom job.I looked at the McIntosh history pages and did not see any all black faceplate 2300's.

I glossed right over that part. Yep, that explains it!I noticed in the youtube video that the black faceplate on that 2300 was kind of dinged up but after reading that they were rescued from a fire at the Burbank Studios that explains it.
Some water under the bridge since then but yes, I believe I purchased a NOS 2500 face from AC and some rack handles as well as NOS foil decals for the top plateA while ago @Don Bocadill bought a few new MC2500 faceplates it would seem.
