MC240 upgrade

Hello.
Just got MX110 early model and MC240. The MX110 does not work(fuse blown) I think the cap and diodes need to be replaced. I read MX110 Restoration Tips Needed - Long from wcarroll and it is the best thead ever.
The MC240 is currently working but I would like to upgrade it before the problem occur. Does anybody have a good tips on this or could point out where can I start? Thanks for any help.

Check the 'Hints and Kinks' sticky, the 240 bias update is noted plus some other good information.
