MC250 compared to an MC60

I have an opportunity to purchase an MC60 locally, only one, with the hopes of getting another in the near future. I have Two MC250's hooked up to in my system now. I have a peach Pre amp and a Blu Ray DVD for my cd player hooked up to my Klipsch Lascala's. It sounds really great. I was wondering how much of an improvement I could expect with the MC60's, or any at all? I realize this is subjective, but I still would like all the information I can get.

Thanks

Tom

What differences do you hear between the 250 and your Scott 222c?

With the two 250's the music seems to be more detailed. It also has a deeper bass, I don't know if this is because of the SS vs tube or not. I believe that the Peach pre has something to do with the detail because when I hooked the 250's up without a pre they still sounded better, just not as good as with the peach. Better meaning more detail. It's very subjective, but to me the mc250/peach combo was a major step up over the scott.

I have a set of MC60's playing thru Klipsch Cornwalls and have an MC250 that I use in the summer. I've a/b'd them having one amp on the left and the other on the right channel. Not much difference. But when hooked up in stereo the 60's have more depth and presence. The source material sounds more alive to me.

Good answer.
If the 60's and 250's are within spec, you would probably hear more detail with the SS but like what Kelsa said, tubes just seem to get the harmonics and depth right. So you pick your poison.
