The transport motor on my MCD-201 runs so quiet now that I have to put my ear close to front of the MCD-201 to hear the motor. When new out of the box I could hear the motor farther away from the unit. I think the motor must get quieter with use, motor break in? Has any body else noticed this after puting some hours on the MCD-201? I sit 8ft from the unit, and cannot hear the transport motor. I know there have been posts in the past on transport noise. My MCD-201 was made in December 2006.

I also have an MCD-201 from December 2006. You need to get really close to the player to hear the transport now. I have heard that later models are using a newer transport, along with updated firmware. This may be the cause of the results that we are now seeing.:tresbon:
