McIntosh 1500 Repair/Restoration Recommendation in Ohio

I had earlier posted the thread below in the McIntosh Audio forum and the responses would require me to ship my Mac 1500. Can anyone recommend a repair/restoration guru in Ohio that I can trust to take care of my favorite receiver? Thanks...

“Hi all. I was fortunate to pick up a beautiful Mac 1500 over the weekend. :banana:Pretty much looks all original including tubes. Before I begin enjoying my purchase I would like to have it checked over by a qualified technician. I live in Central Ohio but travel throughout the state. Who do you recommend for quality and fair service? Does it need to be performed by an authorized Mac repair service? Thanks in advance for your referrals.”

It needs to go to a specialist in McIntosh classics. McIntosh themselves will steer you to Terry DeWick at Dewick Repairs in Knoxville, Tennessee or Audio Classics in Vestal, New York, both experts on the MAC 1500. Both do superb repair work and all aspects of restorations.
 
The Audiowright Shop or Stereo Lab Services...both in Clintonville. They won't restore it but they will get it up and running according to specs.
 
I will be interested to see how you solve this. I have a pair of MC-60 amps and a C-11 preamp. They are all original and I know they need to be worked on/restored. I am thinking I just need to make the trip to Knoxville to let Terry DeWick work is magic, but if you find someone local I would be very interested.
