McIntosh 75th Anniversary Releases

I'm not sure if this is the final/official announcement, but here is a cached page of what looks to be the 75th Anniversary products coming out next year:

It looks like it may just be "commemorative" editions of current models, perhaps with just a different faceplate:

"We proudly uphold the principles that have defined our identity by crafting special 75th Anniversary models of select products. These commemorative models stand as a testament to the artistry and precision that have defined McIntosh for three-quarters of a century."

If the link does not work for you, these are the models listed:

MC2KW 1-CHANNEL SOLID STATE AMPLIFIER
MC1.25KW 1-CHANNEL SOLID STATE AMPLIFIER
C12000 2-CHANNEL SOLID STATE AND VACUUM TUBE PREAMPLIFIER
MA12000 2-CHANNEL HYBRID INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
MCD12000 2-CHANNEL SACD/CD PLAYER

Overall, very disappointing.

The MC”2.1kW” have been hiding in plain site for quite some time now.

I’ve noticed in several McIntosh photos for months even though it’s still called the 2KW in their descriptions. The 1.25 feet and “ash tray” on top gave it away.

When SkyFi Audio ended up with their 2KWs I knew something was in the works.

Saw a hit at 75 year on social media not too long ago so I assumed 75th models would be forthcoming.

You were correct. Maybe they will release more products later in the year? How could they not release an "MC75th Anniversary" amp?

I know the 2.1 K power amp has been updated but the other pieces you might be correct about having a cosmetic touch up.

They look garish to me, especially the ones with the green illuminated tubes.
People keep complaining about the green tubes as if they forget the LEDs under them can be turned on and off in the menu with the remote. Just as you would turn the blue meter backlight on and off. If you don’t like them, turn them off.

I for one appreciate the LEDs, because they are not green, they are multi colored and come in handy for troubleshooting as if there is an error or problem with a tube.

Those are some pretty killer rooms! Wow.

If I had that much money in a system I would feel guilty leaving the room.

McIntosh should re-release the MC75 as a 75th edition with zero additional bling. Think they are also missing the boat not having an MC301 half width 350wpc monoblock pair.
