McIntosh Amplifiers Quality Survey

I am a pretty new user of Mac (actually a used MC2205). It is interesting to read from the Web various comments on Mac and other brands about their longevity. There are many happy Mac users, and some sour cases too. I wish to get a general picture of this issue by making a simple survey through a google form, I can't use the survey feature in AK here due to the kind of responses I want (I collect numbers as a feedback from readers):

This is by no means a comprehensive survey, just want to get a general picture from the users of McIntosh in this forum (where else is better?). We might want to discuss over this (why not?).

Thanks to some who have taken part. As this is in google form, the responses can only be viewed in google form too, I don't know how to create a way to let all see the results automatically. Until then, I will publish the results as a post here on a daily basis.

Actually I wished and tried to use the AK poll feature itself, but it can't collect the kind of data that I wish to collect, or maybe it can but I need to find out. As far as privacy issue is concerned, I don't collect emails nor any other info from every respondent, hope this is ok. But if AK insists, I would take this down and try using the AK poll feature (but we might not be able get the kind of data like seen above).

The poll is geared toward gear purchased new I suppose? Because you refer to warranty period and years of use. I don’t see an easy way to answer this for picking up older used gear when you don’t know its history other than its vintage, how it operated functionally when you received it, etc.

Actually like I've mentioned I don't collect any other info from every respondent, and many other posts also provide external links, I don't see why this is of any special concern.

I wish to do the same using AK's survey tool, but like I've mentioned, AK's survey feature can't capture data as intended by me in this exercise. Now that I want to clear away the link, I found I that I'm no longer able to do that...
