On the sad occasion of Jerry Wexler's passing, an interesting file photo is being shown at a number of news websites

Jerry with a stack of classic Mac gear including a 2205. The man was definitely had taste, and was a class act. Does anyone know if he owned this gear, or if this was an advertising photo of some sort?

On the left side showing is the corner of a Technics table and the right side a Tandberg Cassette deck?
The stack is MR74, C33 and MC2255....

The guy made a lot of great musicians even greater. Genius is probably an understatement.

Anyone know what that LP is above the system? It would be cool to figure that out.

All those beautiful walnut cabinets. I miss those.

Actually I have a similar system in my office. One of the nice perks at working for that company my wife and her brother own. :tresbon:

Looks like the C32 to me also. And are we sure that that's a 2255 and not an 2205? Can we tell from that photo?

*edit* upon further investigation, that stack looks like it consists of a mc2205, C32 and an mr74. Hmm, identical to my system - fancy that. ;-)

It can be tough to tell the 2255 from the 2205, unless you can read the meters or discern the "system test" feature, which is difficult in this photo. I was pretty sure on the C32 though.

It's nearly identical to my Florida Room system, except I have the MR77 Tuner.

Almost identical to my first system, except for the MR74. I have an MR78.

I didn't know anything about the gentleman, but looking at him in the picture his expression seems to say "Just listen to this!" with a knowing countanance.
