Attached are a couple of shots of the McIntosh / Wadia CES room. The show was busy and we were awarded a best new product award from What Hi-Fi? for the new RS100 wireless powered speaker.
The new MX122 was also a big hit as well as the three new preamps, C47, C52, and C1100.

Thanks,
Ron-C

WHAT'S THE MATTER? MAC SPEAKERS DON'T RATE ANYMORE? I guess I shouldn't have put it that way, but don't you think Mcintosh needs to update their speakers? I sure do!

Why all the yelling? We only had one new McIntosh speaker model, the RS100 which won an award in the best new product category from What Hi-Fi? You can see it on their web site. We also has the new Venere-S, Sonus Faber speakers on the main system as this was their launch. They worked great and punched way above their price point in combination with MC601's, C1100, MEN220, D150 and MCT450.
McIntosh speakers are doing fine and continue to offer the highest power handling and acoustic output to match McIntosh amplifiers. Since all of the family brands are part of the World of McIntosh we will continue to show them together.

Thanks,
Ron-C

I'll tell you why I'm screaming. When you walk into a half a dozen Mac dealers over last summer and all but one is using other speakers to demonstarte Mac electronics with speakers out side the new Mac family, and all they have to say about Mac speakers is they play loud, you begin to wonder what's going on. I mean Klipsch speakers play louder and you can get buy with a MC152. JBL speakers play louder and all you need is a 302. I will admit that I prefer line arrays always have and that Mac speakers produce the bottom octave like no other. But I think Mac speakers are getting a litttle along in the tooth and need a rework. Especially the tweeters.

Every one is always thrilled when Mac reissues a C-22 or updated 275. How about bringing Roger back to update a Xr-7, Xr 290, or ML-1? or re-issuing a 500 or 600 watt 3500 to compete with Audio researches big tube amp. Or is competition a big no no between members of the family?

I like the show room, looks like a living room with lot of electronics. That matches more the situation that I we have at home.
I like the updated products and new ones. As a current owner of the C50 I have to say the new C52 is a real update.
Current digital formats (+), one more XLR connector (+), less buttons (+ ease of use) ... in sum a real update. If I not own
a C50 I have to buy a C52.

The bad is that the show is USA... when and where comes the next Show to Germany... at best in NRW near Düsseldorf?

Greatings Frank

Ron - congrats. My fiancé looked over that RS100 and quickly recognized it's place. Personally, I think a pair flanking a monitor would make a great desktop system for a college kid.

I noticed the same thing. I was in two Mac dealers last year and both had other speaker brands with their Mac gear. One shop had all B&W, the other Martins. I just figured the margins were better? Then I wondered if Mac still made speakers?

My MacIntosh RS100 #1.jpg IMG_0657.JPG Just Picked up a McIntosh RS100 today in Woodland Hills. Got home and set it up. Surprised it has the XM app already. I read they were going to have it. Simple set up. I downloaded dts Play-Fi to my Android and IOS device's. logged in to all my accounts- Pandora- SiriusXM- Amazon Music- Napster etc. Switched the app slider off for the ones I don't use. Will only play from whats stored on you device. Not whats on the iCloud etc. So I downloaded a few more to my devices. When unit is on standby it will turn on with your iPhone etc. 30min no use unit will shut off there are 3 energy saver setting. What else Oh ya it's $1090 out the Dealership door. I need one more for stereo . But it sounds so good mono. It has a RCA mono input and a RCA subwoofer mono output. Subwoofer must be self amplified. I really like it for my SiruisXM and other streaming channels.
