difference in the binding post
I changed the binding post on my XR200 speakers and made a few discoveries. The Mcintosh binding post have a different shape at the base, it's more of a rectangle, the WBT 0702 binding post are more square, the result is the the WBT post will not quite fit the plastic washer that mcintosh uses. Although, WBT includes plactic washers that will of course fit theier binding post, there is a protrusion on the base of both Mcintosh post and WBT post. This protrusion on the plastic washer is different and the WBT washers will not fit Mcintosh. However, I was able to use the Mcintosh binding post washer with the WBT post. When I tightened the post, it forced the WBT to fit but also distorted the plastic washer. It does however appear to be working fine.
