McIntosh c 29 Preamp Auto ON PC Board Resistor problem

@S.Tandon I am on holidays and I cannot look at my notes. But what I remember for the c29 is that there was a circuit that needed to be kept on the original voltage. This was specific. Later today I can download the schematic and check.

Your problem is coming from a wrong 240V voltage connection
Your auto-on pcb do not work normally because it is under 240V and not under 110V and this is why your 820OHM resistor is burning
Replacing the original 110V relay by a 240V relay is a non sens and this proove to any good specialist that you don't have the conversion instruction of this unit .
Whatever your unit is, the conversion instructions should be made following factory instructions

Thank you for your value infos, I admit I just love doing this and many times I riun my gears,....also many times AKs make me proud...
I'm done rewiring it to 220 voltage it works fine.
