McIntosh C220 shuts down

I bought this C220 new in 2010 ,it just shut down dead , turn it back on and stay for few minutes and shut down again. I put it on 60w DBT, unit came on ,bulb stay orange glow for 30 minutes . Inside the unit is mint . This ever happened to anybody ?

Is the unit operational with the DBT attached?

Yes it operated on the DBT , you know what it was , I always had hard time plugging in the cord to rear of the unit, it would never go in all the way ,no matter hard I pushed. When it was on the table out of the rack i was able to get all the way in .

I'm unsure of what you meant by, "Yes , you what it was".
So no more issues with installing the power cord? Is the unit working now, or only when the DBT is plugged in?

All set , I don't why it would not go all the way in before, real tight specs I think , the top cover goes on real tight also. I fixed post #3 .
