McIntosh C33 Rec Eq light on.... when it shouldn't....

Greeting y'all, hope you had a great July 4th,

Full recap performed on a C33. Once powered back up, noticed the Rec EQ red light was on ?!? (button not engaged). Pressed the button and it blew a small cap on the 'compandor' board. Weird. Any obvious spot I should check before going down a rabbit hole?
