haha ya he does :D i laughed when i saw them. if i were within driving distance i would bid on them and pay him in cash after i went to pick them up. it could be a major score for someone :yes:
 
I live within driving distance. I saw this deal.before. it went for something like 2500 if i remember right. Definitely something not right
I don't think i would give this a shot without a couple of on duty or off duty cops riding shotgun
 
I would never bid on anything from someone that inconsiderate. What an a-hole....I guess his is just too busy and important to write a coherent ad.
 
This is as scammy as it gets, the seller is purposely trying to create confusion and hope someone bites. Total garbage auction, stay away, stay far away.
 
One of the questions came from someone who had spoken to the seller on the phone- and he still did not know what was included. "Added" information only contributed to the confusion. Either the seller is a thoroughbred scammer or has absolutely no idea what he's doing.
 
If I buy (cash in person only) I bring down my whole construction crew of 50 tough guys to make sure I get my moneys worth or say redefine the term cash & carry :D

Update- I sent the person a message that auction must include everything I see in picture & will bring lots of help to quickly unload their shop. Lets see what their reply is!

Another Update- I sent email I will pick up with cash in hand & a group of men to help 'quickly' pick up everything in picture if I win auction. Send back 'wants to talk on phone'. I sent back all communications thru ebay for now.

Another Update- Replies 'all details & phone contract after auction'. I replied 'no deal'.

exactly, there are people who do stuff like this that just like to **** around. I once answered an ad for a "bunch of turntables, tuners, amps etc. when i got there what I saw was absolute junk, and all the "good stuff" was in the basement. He quoted models and makes of stuff, but I wasnt allowed to look at any of it. When an ad is worded this way it always means this stuff isnt a deal.

Hmm...looking at his feedback, and most are recent, a few mentioned "Great Communication" or "Good Communication". What were they smoking.

Looks like his latest item sold was for a Thorens TD-124 that ended at over a grand, and then got water damage!!??? It's too much of an adventure for my taste...

i sent him a message and he responded with something like..."be by s# phone" i take that as meaning he wants to talk over the phone :D someone in the area should give him their number and see if he can actually talk on the phone :yes:
 
Anything agreed to via eBay's messaging system would require him to live up to it. Anything done by phone would be impossible to prove to eBay if you find yourself scammed later on.

I guess there are people in the world willing to try something like this, but I suppose those are the people who have too much money and need to be shorn like sheep. Good luck. I would not touch it, any sane person would not touch it, but if you do and you lose, don't come crying about it. Dumbest scam I ever saw.

Why not? if you had the money and he tells you that you are getting such and such...and you get their and he doesnt have it so what? You could either land a huge score, or not land one and lose a couple bucks on gas. I would certainly do it if i was in the area.

I'm in the area. And, if I go there and it is a scam that person becomes an asshole & I get angry real quick. I better stay away myself.

Or bring Wigwam's crew with you and have them sort it out. In my case, I'd have to meet him in public! :yes:
