McIntosh MA6100 and MR77 in Maine

Found these this morning on Craigslist:

http://maine.craigslist.org/ele/777057282.html

Both have walnut cabinets and claim to be serviced and in good working order as well. Not a bad deal for both units.

DISCLAIMER: This is not my listing and I have nothing to do with it. I'm just posting in case someone wants to snag 'em.

Just sold my MA5100 and its currently in route to Italy, would love to get a MA6100, just wish it was in Michigan. The tuner would be nice to add to my collection also. If its good audio equipment in Craigslist in my area and I do see some McStuff, it is always top price. Oh Well.

This is only the second time in the past year or two that I've seen McIntosh gear on Craigslist in Maine. If I didn't just purchase a C30 and MC2505 I'd pull the trigger on these. Unfortunately my C30 just got mangled by FedEx and they denied the claim (of course). That's another saga for another day though.

I called the lister just a few hours after his ad went up and arranged to purchase from him with him to ship to me from Maine. Since then, I haven't been able to contact him. I'm afraid he developed a case of seller's remorse.

That is a nice combo. I have the tuner in my main system and years ago had a 6100 that I paird it with for a time and though not quite a C28/MC250, it played beautiful music and would make for a wonderful main music system.

"wonderful main music system."

Exactly what I had in mind. I've just stumbled upon the amazing difference between a CD played on my home theater system and the same CD played on an old analog Luxman in my bedroom. Now I'm looking for tuner and int. amp to run parallel to the ht system in the living room. I've missed years of heightened enjoyment being ignorant of how much better the analog is for music.
