McIntosh MC-225 and C-11 Combo Value

Looking at a combo set but no idea what a decent offer would be.

What would this combo value be? All tubes intact, manuals, previous service records back to mid-80's. No idea of current value.

Look like a solid 8/10 in appearance for both.

Any guidance would be great! Thanks!

I had no idea you could look up SOLD items on Reverb. Ebay had 1 recent sale of an MC-225 for 7k+ and Reverb had 3 sales at around 4k. The C-11 had no recent sales on Ebay, but Reverb at a broken unit sell at 1k and a refurbed one at 3k.

So I am guessing a 4-5k would be reasonable for untested units. Thanks!

Hifishark might be another place to check for current pricing, maybe sold prices as well. I have no experience with that website.
usaudiomart is another website that might have current listings.

I'd say more if the cosmetics are nice, you couldn't buy that combo on eBay for that price currently. Not that there aren't a couple overly hopeful sellers out there, but I think your estimate is on the low side unless they're beat.

I am of the view that cash in hand for an in person deal should start at 50% of ebay prices. No fees, packing, damage in shipping, bad buyers. At least that is where I would start. So offer $3.5K - cash in hand.
