McIntosh MC40 power cord length

Hello all,

I am receiving a pair of MC40 amps this weekend, and in my preparation of the gear, I would like to know the length of the power cord on these units. It will help me with the placement possibilities of my set-up. Many thanks in advance!

Original cords were 6' less about 2" used inside the chassis.

I'd also suggest inspecting them for breaks, cracked insulation, etc. I've only seen a couple that were in this condition, though, from being left out in the weather.

Point taken! 66-1/2 ± 1/8 inch.

Seriously, the cords really are 66-1/2 inches betw strain relief on chassis and the solid portion of the plug (within reasonable limits of measurement capabilities i.e. tape measure and my idea of equal tension). This, even though the amps are fairly far apart serial# wise and the cordsets are from different mfgrs. Probably just another example of Mac's attention to detail. Regardless, I was mildly surprised at consistency.
